Meal Planning 2016 - Week 42

Real Food for Real Families

Happy Monday menu planners! Just as we were settling into Fall, Mother Nature decided to give us a blast of summer this week, with temperatures nearing 80 for a day or two. I've decided that since it's mid-October, it won't feel like summer, so I'm staying the course with meal planning.

I took a bit of time on Sunday to look through some recipe ideas and match that up to food I have on hand. I also asked what my family wanted to have this week. I don't know about yours, but my family doesn't provide many ideas, and leaves me pretty much on my own.

This week we are keeping it simple, with tried and true favorites. Although I have shrimp in the freezer and I'm looking for something to do with it! I use EatPick's recipe most of the time, and then just toss that with some pasta or rice and vegetables. It's quick, easy and healthy.

Here's what we have planned for this week:

Monday - Sloppy Joes (I like this recipe from O'Boy Organic) and Mac and Cheese
Tuesday - Pasta with Shrimp - need a recipe here!
Wednesday - Chicken Cutlets with tomatoes, mozzarella and arugala
Thursday - Sausage, Kale and Sweet Potato Soup
Friday - Homemade Pizza Night
Saturday - Open House Party to go to
Sunday -Family Dinner Out

  1. Great menu plan! Thanks for including my sloppy joe recipe, I hope your family loves it as much as we do.
