Meal Planning - 2016 Week 11

Weekly Meal Plan - Real Food for Real Families

Welcome to my weekly meal planning post. Each week I share my intentions for feeding my family for the upcoming week. I take time each Sunday night to get organized and plan out a menu of mostly "real food" items, in an attempt for all of us to eat healthier. In the end, when we follow the plan, we do eat healthier and we save money too. I hope you take away some ideas and inspiration for your own weekly meal plan.

Last week, my weekly meal planning chore really came in handy. On Monday, I was away for the day, but we had accounted for that in the weekly plan. On Tuesday, we had a bit of a family emergency that called for a complete schedule upheaval. The great thing about having my meal plan in place, was being able to leave, once the kids were taken care of, knowing that food was in the house and meals were able to be made as planned, even in my absence. In a time of stress and uncertainty, it was one less thing to worry about, and that was a relief.

This week will prove to be another challenge, but with a plan in hand, again, it becomes one less thing I need to worry about and stress over. Here's what we have planned for this week:

Monday - Sausage, Potatoes and Broccoli on a Sheet Pan (moved from last week)
Tuesday - Pasta, Meatballs and Garlic Bread
Wednesday - Mini Meatloaves and Mixed Vegetables
Thursday -  Roasted Chicken Thighs, Sweet Potatoes and Green Beans
Friday - Pizza Night
Saturday - Ribs and Hot Dogs on the grill with Baked Beans
Sunday - Family Dinner Out
