Menu Plan Monday - 2015 Week 10

Welcome back for another weekly meal plan. This weekly post is where I share my plans for what I'm going to feed my family each week. Some weeks are more challenging than others, but I stay focused and organized and know in the end, a little planning saves me time, money and sanity.

This week we have a nice mix of evening activities, so I've built some easy meal ideas into my plan. We really lucked out tonight in fact, I am getting together with some friends, and our refrigerator is filled with food. So while I go out, the guys are going to see what they can build from what we already have.

Saturday is deemed a YOYO dinner night - where everyone is on their own. Most weeks. we eat out at some point on Saturday - lunch or dinner, and bring home leftovers. When that's the case, Saturday night dinner becomes very low-key and everyone eats when they feel hungry and what they feel like eating form what we have available.  It's not fancy, and doesn't require a lot of clean-up . . .perfect for a Saturday night!

It's little "short cuts" like YOYO, that make the whole meal-planning system work for the long-term. Very few people can plan a week of fancy dinners, and then actually make them and serve them. at My Scraps, I try to keep it real. Real meal ideas, real food for real families. And 9 times out of 10, if you came over that night, it's what we're really having for dinner!

Here's what we have on our meal plan for this week:

Monday - Leftover Buffet (GNO for Mom)
Tuesday - Steak and Chops, Baked Potatoes, Vegetable
Wednesday - Quick Dinner - School Concert
Thursday - Tortellini Soup, Fresh Bread, Salad
Friday - Pizza Night (homemade margherita pizzas)
Saturday - YOYO (Your On Your Own - clean out the fridge)
Sunday - Family Spaghetti Night

What do you have planned for dinner this week?

catch you soon -
