Hillary Chybinski: thinking about food. . .

thinking about food. . .

. . .i am processing a lot of information about food right now - due in large part to hearing Robyn O'Brien speak today at an event sponsored by Stonyfield.  I have not read her book - yet . . .but I visited her blog and bookmarked it for more studying.

I came home and checked our milk - it's not organic, but it's iBST free. . .I am seeing organic milk in our future, although we drink about 3 gallons a week.

I thought about what I was going to make for dinner tonight - I already had a ham selected. . .but I paired it with baby spinach and couscous - Owen had berries and couscous.

Robin talked a lot about balancing and the 80/20 rule. . .I think this is something I can work with.  For instance, trying to buy organic dairy since we consume a LOT of milk, yogurt and cheese.

Stay tuned because i have a feeling this is the first of many posts on our journey to better eating.

What steps are you and your family taking?

catch you soon -

  1. I can't stop thinking about the things that Robyn said either. We're definitely starting with organic milk!

  2. I, too, am processing a lot of information since hearing Robyn speak. I find myself constantly looking at food ingredients and either throwing away the package (if it's at home) or shelving it (if it's at the store).

I've already made the switch to organic dairy.

We are headed in the right direction, girl!
