Travel Clothes | What I Wore - #OOTD

Remember when people used to get "dressed up" for travel? There were no yoga pants on an airplane - women were wearing blazers and dresses. These days, there are a lot of jersey-knit pieces to choose from. Comfortable clothes that still look attractive.

My traveling fashion dilemma was choosing an outfit that I could ride in the car, hop a train and walk several blocks in NYC (in the summer) and still look nice. Since I don't currently have any of those adorable jersey-knit pieces, I went with some classic pieces in simple styles. I also wore comfortable shoes to travel in, and carried a pair of dressy heels in my bag.

Pants - Ann Taylor (old)
T-shirt - Ann Taylor (this season - hurry!)
Shoes - Vionic Flip-Slops (current) and  Audrey Brooke heels (DSW last year)
Bag - Kate Spade
Bracelets - Ann Taylor Bangle, Alex and Ani Bangles, Tiffany Bangle
Necklace - Tiffany
Earrings - Kate Spade

Fabrics that are wrinkle resistant are a good traveling idea. Also, keeping accessories to a minimum and layering (adding a cardi or scarf for cool AC) can add to the enjoyment of your adventure.

What's your go-to travel outfit?
