Valentine's Day Crafts to Make With or For Kids

A little bit of crafting going on here today.

I put this little mailbox together for Ryan's teacher today - he helped pick out the papers. The mailbox was in the Target Dollar Spot.  I measured and cut paper, attached it with some modpodge and tied some ribbons onto the flag. Filled up with candy kisses, it makes a great gift!



Using a Stampin Up stamp set, I made little treat bags for his class too - to go with his spiffy NASCAR valentine's.



Using the same Stamp Set and some colored pencils and markers, I made these bags of animal crackers to be Owen's valentines for his daycare class. I stamped the imaged on large sized mailing labels and used them to seal the bags.

so this looks innocent enough doesn't? if you have a toddler, you probably have some similar plastic discs laying about your house. . .

be warned. . .one wrong step. . .whammo. . .i happened to have stepped on this little disc this morning and slid accross my dining room, pulling some unused muscle in my hip in the process. . .when i regained my balance. . .i happened to envision myself actually falling. . .

cracking my head on the corner of the dining room table and passing out. . .good lord. . .what would happen? would owen "mcgyver" himself out of the high chair and call 911? more likely he would get hungry and cry before i regainded consciousness. . .perish the thought. . .

how's that for imaginative drama??

of course, it could have been spurred by the head-cracking collision the boys had on my bed this morning. . .(everyone appears fine and in tact Mimi!!)
