Cargo Pants. Are they still in style? Maybe not for date night, but for taking your kids to the park or working from home, they may be the perfect answer. Especially if they fall into that 80-20 rule we talked about (remember, we only wear 20% of what we have). So break out those Cargo Pants and let's style them up.
Big and sloppy is definitely out, but a cute pair of cargos, paired with a tank, cami and/or peasant type top can look current. Keep shoes and other accessories in balance too. I have a pair from Lands End that I have had for YEARS. They are straight leg, but can roll up. I like the rolled up look, and typically bring these for our Beach vacation. This week though, I wanted to bring them out of the house, and style them for a day of errands and work.
A quick fashion behind the curtain peek - while I yearn to have inspiring fashion-model perfect pictures. . .my reality is one of my kids snapping a quick picture before we head off for the day. It is authentic Mid-Life Mom style, exactly how I left the house for the day, and this week's photo is no different:
Pants - Lands End (so very old)
Cami - Chicos (new)
Top - Lord and Taylor
Shoes - Vionic
Earrings - Stella and Dot
Necklace - AnnikaLane
Bracelets - Alex and Ani, Stella and Dot, AnnikaLane, Tiffany
So what do you think? Do you own a pair of cargo pants you can style up for a current look?
catch you soon -
