What I Wore - Classic Cape Cod Style
It's been a while since I have participated in a WIW (what I wore), mostly because I don't have a great full length mirror, nor a great place to take decent full shots of my outfits. . .
But today, I'm linking up (see the button at the bottom of this post) to share my classic "Cape Cod" outfit.
I've said many times before, I lean towards classics. This outfit is all about classics - an oxford shirt (Eddie Bauer), khaki shorts (Lands End) and a white-t (Ann Taylor).
I added some classic jewelry, like a small necklace with shore-inspired charms, and bracelets. I also threw on my "vintage" J Crew espadrilles.
Two things that could take this classic look up another notch are a straw tote and a hat - perhaps a straw fedora or navy ball cap.
Depending on your style, age and body shape, you could wear shorter and/or lighter shorts and tuck the t-shirt in and add a belt. The beauty of classic pieces is they are just waiting for you to add your personal style.
Some days it is simply about shopping your own closet and finding new ways to wear what you already have.
What are you wearing this week?
catch you soon -
