Meal Planning - 2016 Week 14

Welcome to my weekly meal planning post. Each week I share my intentions for feeding my family for the upcoming week. I take time each Sunday night to get organized and plan out a menu of mostly "real food" items, in an attempt for all of us to eat healthier. In the end, when we follow the plan, we do eat healthier and we save money too. I hope you take away some ideas and inspiration for your own weekly meal plan.

Weekly Meal Planning Ideas and Inspiration - Real Food for Real Families

I'm not sure what it up with Mother Nature, but winter made a big comeback this weekend. We had a lacrosse game on Sunday and the temperatures were in the low 40s with gusting wind chills that made it feel like the 30s! We were freezing! This week doesn't look much better with cooler temperatures and rain.

With that in mind, I selected easy and comforting foods for this week.  Again we are looking at five lacrosse practices and three games spread out over the week. Toss in two meetings and a Facebook Party for me, and it's a busy week. But we can handle busy, right? After all, we have a plan.

Here's our plan for the week:

Monday - Pan Seared Pork Chops, Rice and Vegetable
Tuesday - Greek Fritatta, Crusty Bread and Salad
Wednesday - Roasted Chicken Thighs, Potatoes and Vegetable (sheet pan meal idea)
Thursday - Pasta of some sort
Friday - Pizza Night - homemade pizzas
Saturday - Leftover Buffet/YOYO (You're On Your Own)
Sunday - Dinner with my Parents

What's on your plan this week? I'd love for you to share your ideas here in the comments, or over on the Facebook page.
