Weekly Family Meal Plan 2017 - Week 20

Weekly Meal Plan Ideas sharing real food for real families. Save time and money by planning easy menus for your family.

Happy Monday meal planners, welcome back! Is this your first time here? Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you find something here that will inspire you to plan to prepare quick, healthy meals for your family each week.

So, it's confession time for my regular readers. . . I have not been following my meal plan! I know. . .it's always important to me to be REAL here. I don't post food I don't eat or clothes I don't own and wear. My goal isn't to impress you, it's to inspire you. But lately, life has gotten so out of control, I have fallen to my old pre-meal planning ways and I'm reminded of why I began this journey in the first place.

A few things happen when I don't visit the store regularly, and plan out 3-4 meals a week: we eat a lot of take out food, we spend a lot more money and we're not connecting as a family over meals. I keep telling myself this is only a "season" of time, and that once spring sports are over, life will return to a more "normal" state. But in the meantime, there is a lot of guilt and negative self-talk on my part. One more truth to add, if I am brutally honest, the kids seem unfazed by this change in our routine.

With all that in mind, we have ANOTHER crazy week here, our high school lacrosse player's team has made the playoffs! (yeah but ugh) Add that to the general end-of-year craziness and here's what we have planned for this week:

Monday - Grilled Pork Tenderloin, Rice Pilaf and Broccoli
Tuesday - Grilled Cheese and Soup for me and Owen, Ryan has a team dinner and John is on his own
Wednesday - Playoff Game and Spring Concert - I wish cloning was a thing! On-the-Go Dinner.
Thursday - Ravioli with Meatballs, Salad
Friday - Pizza Night - Homemade and a movie to unwind after a busy week!
Saturday - Family Dinner out
Sunday -Burgers and Ribs on the grill, pasta salad

I feel as if I should be making bigger, real meals on the weekend, but frankly, I just want to relax! What do you have planned for dinner this week? Share your ideas here in the comments, or join us over on Facebook, to talk all things meal planning!
