bloggy summer camp. . .teaching

Day 8 – If you had to teach something, what would you teach? (If you DO teach, when did you discover your love for teaching/the subject?) Do you think blogs can play a role in education?

oh how i remember playing school when i was little. . .my favorite part? writing lesson plans - YES I know - how dull . . .but i used my mom's cast off lesson planners and other teacher treasures and painstakingly filled in EACH and EVERY square with a lesson plan. . .as I got older my organization and precision improved. . .I used different colored markers.  I'm not sure I understood the point - but the organizational pull of it all was just too much for me to ignore.

i also played library - and make a Dewey decimal system for all my books - some still bear the masking tape on the spine with my number and letter combination.

GEEK

when i was in college - i thought about switching my major to education - my teacher mother talked me out of it - telling me there was no money in it, stick with business.  so i became an accountant. . .but that's another whole blog post.

i've always volunteered for "teach the teacher" positions and opportunities to instruct or teach at work.  I'm not shy to stand in front of a group and explain what I know.

I don't know what I would teach. . .should I divulge my desire to offer social media classes and workshops?  Or scrapbooking and crafting instruction? perhaps someday. . .

catch you soon -
