Wearing the Color Coral

Welcome to another weekly fashion post, where I share real fashion for real women. Each week, I highlight at least one outfit that I'm wearing right now, as well as provide ideas and inspiration to help you get dressed in the mornings. Life is hard, getting dressed shouldn't be. This week, let's discuss the color, coral.

It's no secret that I have a thing for pink. Maybe it's because I am raising two boys, with no little girl to dress up. Maybe I have always secretly loved pink (that's true). But pink can get boring or predictable, so it's always good to have another color in your toolbox. For me, that color is coral. A mix of pink and orange, coral makes a nice cool statement in the spring and summer.

Coral looks good on a variety of skin tones, from fair to olive and with most hair colors. That makes it pretty easy to wear.  The coral top featured here is part of my spring ambassador package form Aventura Clothing. I topped it with this great Redford Jacket, also from my Aventura partnership. A comfy pair of jeans, cute shoes and a bag, and you're ready to go.

With the color coral, it can be the main color of your outfit, such as in a great top, or in a pair of cropped pants or shorts, or even a pretty dress. Or it can be the color of your accessories, like a great pair of sandals or a fun bag. An easy and fun way to add coral to your outfit, is to use it in a statement necklace or scarf.

Have you tried coral? What do you think?
