Meal Planning - 2016 Week 19

Weekly Meal Plan - Real Food for Real Families

Welcome to my weekly meal planning post. Each week I share my intentions for feeding my family for the week ahead. I take time each Sunday, to get organized and plan out a menu of mostly "real food" items, in an attempt for all of us to eat healthier. In the end, when we follow the plan, we eat healthier and we save money too. I hope you take away some ideas and inspiration for your own weekly meal plan.

This week brings a close to the high school lacrosse season and a business trip for mom. While I plan meals and buy food for the nights I will be away, my husband does a "dad version" of my breakfast for dinner easy menu I prepare when he's away. Whatever works for them while I'm not here, is fine with me. My husband is a great cook, so I've never had to be one of those women that has to cook ahead and leave detailed instructions. We'll catch up on vegetables when I get back =)

Here's what we have planned for this week:

Monday - Ribs and Hot Dogs, Salad and Fruit (maybe pasta salad)
Tuesday - Homemade Chicken Fingers, Fruit (Chicken Caesar Salad Wraps for adults)
Wednesday -  Flank Steak, Baked Potatoes and Broccoli
Thursday - Leftover Buffet / Quick Dinner - lots of lacrosse
Friday - Homemade Cheesesteaks
Saturday - Guys' Night Out
Sunday - Mom's home - Fire up the Grill

What's for dinner at your house this week? I'd love it if you'd join the discussion on meal planning! Leave a comment here, or come on over to Facebook and share your ideas for menu planning this week!

  2. Something about the word 'buffet' makes leftovers sound great. Have a great week.
