Do you ever have one of those weeks where your schedule gives you a case of the shakes and makes your eye start to twitch? Busy schedules are becoming more a part of our routines, and to keep organized, we have to have some meal plan ideas ready for when one of those weeks comes up.
For me a busy week, with no real time for me in the kitchen during the late afternoon into evening, means cook ahead meals that require only assembly. This isn't a week for family dinners around the table - this is a week for hurry up and let's go - grab a banana or orange on your way out too.
Here's what's on our plan this week:
Monday - Mini Pizzas or Ham/Turkey/Cheese Wraps
Tuesday - Breakfast for Dinner (will it be pancakes or eggs? Kids' choice)
Wednesday - Grilled Chicken Sandwiches
Thursday - Chicken Nuggets with Fruit
Friday - Pizza Night/Take Out
Saturday and Sunday - TBD
What types of things does your family eat on nights that there are multiple events and "family meal" is out of the question? The kids don't mind too much, but I'm watching what I'm eating and I feel badly serving my husband a quick meal. Love to know your ideas!
catch you soon -
