A Day in the City | What I Wore - #OOTD

It's always fun to dress for an event or occasion. Since I work from home, my day-to-day fashion routine runs more towards jeans and yoga pants than skirts and heels. So having an opportunity to dig into the fun pieces in my closet and style up a new mid-life mom outfit makes me happy.

Last weekend, I went into Philadelphia to attend the Spring Into Summer MomMixer at The Four Seasons. It was a beautiful spring day in the city. Philadelphia is a great city, and it really shines on a sunny spring day. On our way in, we stopped along the Ben Franklin Parkway and took some fashion shots. (Thanks to Sherry from BigGirlsGuide and Superexhausted for snapping my picture for today's #OOTD post)

Mid-Life Mom Style

Black Patent Shoes

Jeans - Boot Cut Ann Taylor (old)
Blouse - Ann Taylor (old)
Cardigan - Ann Taylor (old)
Shoes - Audrey Brooke
Bag - Kate Spade
Jewelry - Tiffany necklace and Alex and Ani Bracelets

This type of outfit is perfect for a shower, girls lunch out, or afternoon charity event. The jeans are more of a denim pant, with no front pockets, and small flap back pockets. The shoes aren't overly-walking friendly, so they may not be great for a day of shopping, hoever I did walk a few blocks to and from the event, and stand for most of my time there - so maybe they are better than I thought!

What's your go-to outfit for a special daytime event?

catch you soon -
