Fashion and Comfort - What I Wore | #OOTD

What is it about fashion, that makes us think we can't also be comfortable? I'm not talking mom-jeans or sweatpants comfort. I'm talking about where fashion can meet comfort, so that we feel good IN what we're wearing, as well as look good wearing it.

One of my favorite outfits this season has been one that incorporates several basics, all pulled together for a total look. The best part, is I can switch out dark skinnies, for black jeggings (increasing the comfort level). I can also switch out the black booties pictured here with my black and brown riding boots or  my black Hunter Wellies, if the weather is not too promising.

The basic outfit looks like this:

Skinnies, Cashmere Tunic, Boots

Jeans - Coldwater Creek
Tunic - Lord & Taylor Cashmere
Boots - Aerosoles
Bag - Kate Spade
Necklace - Tiffany

Kick it up a notch with a cape or poncho like this:

Skinny jeans, Cashmere Tunic, Cape and Boots

Cape - Coldwater Creek (a great gift from my mom)

Another favorite accessory to pair with this, is a very old equestrian style silk scarf, folded like a headband. It combines all the colors of the outfit and makes a statement. When I wear the scarf, I like to add my riding boots and a brown bead necklace from Stella & Dot, to play on the black and brown color scheme.

What's your favorite fashionable AND comfortable outfit right now?
