Menu Plan Monday

We'll call this one The Hurricane Edition. . .as we are anxiously awaiting the fallout of Hurricane Sandy blasting the East Coast today.

I have all the necessities, and plenty of options.  The name of the game is power.  Everything is dependent on whether we have power or not, and how quickly things start to defrost if we lose power.

Here is my current plan, should the power stay on:

Monday - Tortellini with garlic and olive oil, tossed with broccoli
Tuesday - Mini Sheppard Pies using leftover meatloaf. (meatloaf sandwiches if we lose power)
Wednesday - Chili with corn bread and Mummy Dogs - Happy Halloween! (Will attempt to make this on the grill if we lose power)
Thursday - Soup and Grilled Cheese (if I get out to the store & have power - a Roast Chicken)
Friday - Pizza Night

So there you have it - a selection of first choices, with options for losing power.  Those of you that live in storm-prone areas. . .how do you plan your meals and what are some favorites?

catch you soon -

    1. Becca - I LOVE picking up pizza dough - the dough is usually $.99 to $1.25 - and you can make pizza, stromboli or calzones with it. You can also make dough at home and save even more money.
