sharing stories . . .

a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned in a vlog post that I was excited about using the holiday Starbucks cup sleeves in a project.  Well, I finally got around to completing that project.  I thought I'd share my idea with you.

First, I cut the front parts of 2 cup sleeves and gathered some scraps of red cardstock.

Next, I traced the cup sleeve shapes onto the red cardstock as many times as I wanted pages - I used 12.

Cut out the pages.

I chose to ink all the edges with a dark brown - I considered white - like a snow effect though.

Making sure that your last page (the 2nd cup sleeve) is facing the proper direction, punch holes in all pages.

I used 2 jump rings and added festive rings to hold mine together.

I used bits of red ribbon (from another project that I goofed on) as tabs for each page.

And there you have it! I added 2 snowflake stickers from my sticker stash to the cover.

A small book, ready to record your favorite family holiday stories that you can enjoy and re-live year after year.

catch you soon -
