saturday night date. . .
. . .so the marvelous martha came to stay with the boys on saturday night, and john and i had a much needed grown-up night out to dinner.
i had used my new obsession, opentable.com to find a restaurant. . .and we were set.
we had chosen Ristorante Panorama in Olde City. . .
the restaurant is known for it's list of 150 wines by the glass, and wine flights. we each chose a flight of shiraz and it was excellent. My favorite one was the Some Young Punks . john started with escargot and i had the house salad - both were delicious, and the basil and olive oil dipping oil was out of this world. john ordered duck and i had a homemade pasta trio - the presentation was gorgeous and the taste was scrumptious.
we ended our meal with shooters of Lemoncello, compliments of the amazing and gracious manager - who encouraged us to switch tables when a large party became rather obnoxious and loud. of course we had coffee, tiramasu and profiteroles as well. . .
it was a wonderful night out with my sweetie - and martha assured us the boys were well behaved. . .looking forward to next month's night out.
catch you soon -
